State of Downtown
The DoMo Partnership’s 2nd annual State of Downtown event on March 1 at the Gallo Center for the Arts was a success. The event drew nearly 250 people! We would like to thank everyone who came and our keynote speaker Peter Kageyama. He cited examples from all over the country of residents posting “love notes” to their cities, including a few from Modesto: the utility box art project and music-themed crosswalks supported by the DoMo Partnership, the Shire Community Space movement and Love Modesto, which marks its 10th anniversary April 21.
Downtown ServicesThe DoMo Partnership has a five-member “Downtown Ambassador Crew” that is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the district six days a week and providing helpful services to visitors and guests.
